In 1992, HiVi introduced China's first PC-based American computerized electro-acoustic measurement system LMS, and became the first speaker manufacturer in China to use computer for acoustic measurement, creating a new era of electro-acoustic measurement in China. After that, HiVi purchased almost all the world's top electro-acoustic measurement equipment and electro-acoustic design software, including Clio, mlssa, Bruel & Kjaer, etc. At the same time, in the mid-1990s, it also became the Chinese agent of the American LMS electro-acoustic measurement system. A complete set of standard and standardized measurement procedures has been established, and a group of professional testing teams have been trained, making great contributions to the popularization of computerized electroacoustic measurement systems in China.
Through a lot of practical use, Hivi engineers deeply felt the limitations of the computer electro-acoustic measurement system. In the ordinary environment (non-anechoic room measurement), the computer electro-acoustic measurement system must use Near Field Measurements and Ground Plane Measurements. The method measures low frequencies, Gated SPL Measurements measures mid-high frequencies, and then connects them to obtain the full-band response of the electroacoustic system. The error is greatly affected by the measurement environment, especially the low-frequency measurement error is greater, and for many special and large Speaker systems, sometimes simply cannot be measured.
The crux of the above problems is the measurement environment. Without an ideal free field environment, it is impossible to effectively carry out precise electro-acoustic measurement.
The largest professional electro-acoustic anechoic chamber in Asia completed by HiVi in four years is located in HiVi's Guangzhou production base. It is an independent building with double walls for sound insulation and rubber vibration isolation pads. The vibration source is the largest professional anechoic chamber for electro-acoustic measurement in China and even Asia in terms of net volume.
HiVi professional anechoic room was built in September 2004. The cut-off frequency of the sound-absorbing wedge in the anechoic room (the lowest frequency with a sound absorption coefficient greater than 0.99) is 60Hz, and the net volume of the free field of the anechoic room after the wedge is installed is 12 meters. x7.6 meters x 6.8 meters = 620.16 cubic meters.
